The monument is entirely funded by offerings and you might want to leave your mark by purchasing a small slab of marble to have mounted on one of the temple's pillars. Journey along the scenic coastal road on the west of Phuket Island, and stop at a viewpoint to take some stunning photos. Arrive at Laem Promthep at the southwestern-most point of Thailand by 17:30, just in time to catch the amazing sunset. This takes place between 17:55 and 18:20 year-round in Thailand. End the day with a visit to the local rum distillery in Chalong, where the rum is 100% organic. Try one of their refreshing signature cocktails before the drive back to your hotel at around 19:30.
